Words!

Family day, we went for a little Hay Ride at our local Community league. Josh Loved it! We were freezing though.

Josh is starting to learn how to talk a bit more lately and he is loving the ability to communicate. He does not miss yelling "Buh- Buh" (He can pronounce "S" but only on its own right now, not in actual words like "Bus") He does this everytime he sees a Bus, even if it's super far away. Last weekend we rode the bus as a family to the Library and he was in shock. His eyes were HUGE and he was speachless the entire time.

Here's a little video of Josh's recent words http://youtu.be/uyG0FWTk960

We are always looking for new and exciting (and of course cheap) things to do as a family. Last night we decided to take Josh to the Cabella's store. He was pretty sure we were in a Zoo and I'm sure he didn't even know that the animals weren't alive. He ran around that store several times yelling at all the animals. He had the time of his life.

Who needs Disneyland when you have the City Bus' and a Cabella's??

A Ball

Last night we went to a Fancy Ball for Mark's CA graduation. It was pretty fun I guess. He got to be walked in by a Piper and we got to eat some yummy food. We went home pretty early as it really wasn't our kind of scene. We were pretty content to just get home and be in our sweat pants to be quite honest. Here are some pictures of the evening. Also here is a link to a little video from this week. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEsEvDg8HxM&feature=youtu.be

If you can't beat 'em... Make a new strategy!

I'm sure all you parents at some time or other, struggle with a kid who won't eat their veggies. Josh has just started into this phase and so I have derived a new strategy. He used to eat Everything and those days are now behind us.

Surprisingly his favorite thing of all time continues to be Tomato Sandwhiches. I open the fridge and he sees Mayo and instantly he is asking for a tomato sandwhich. I'm sure he would eat Tomatoes like apples if I would let him... but he tends to get large rashes on his face from all the acid.

Also, recently he has a DEEP love for Blueberries. When he gets up in the morning, he toddles out of his room, opens the fridge, grabs the package of blueberries and says "bLue, bLue"... the "L" is very pronounced and it's super duper cute.

Anywho... here is my new strategy for dealing with my new picky eater....

Blend it ALL into tomato sauce!!! mooowwaahhaa (evil laugh)

Here we have spinach, brocolli, squash, peas, celery, carrots, peppers and some other veggies.

Blend it all together with your favorite organic Sauce and there you have it. Super Healthy Sauce to br frozen for Many Many meals. It looks sorta Nasty but it tastes amazing! I used it for several different casseroles, pasta dishes, mexican dishes, pizza and even soups. So Yummy!
